Job description

The AFS Interest Rates Division has roots dating back 170 years, and continues to expand in both its core established markets, and new ones. In total AFS Group counts more than 170 employees, with ambitious growth plans best centered on how to best serve our customers in this dynamic, ever-changing and fast-paced markets. The AFS Interest Rates Division consists of a group of 40+ ambitious and motivated brokers across Money & Capital Markets and Fixed Income providing best in class solutions to serve a variety of public sector, corporate, banking, and institutional clients.

In this position (Money Market Broker DACH) your main focus will be on developing new and existing relationships with European banks and institutions, with the support of AFS’ core product offering (Deposits, FX Arbitrage, CP, CD and other STIR Products), and the network and expertise of your colleagues. Your focus will be on providing best-in class money market solutions to German, Swiss, Luxemburgish, Austrian and other German speaking clients.


In this role you will be:

  • Managing, maintaining, and expanding the client portfolio, with a focus on new business and high potential markets.

  • Execute client orders, and identify client’s needs and pro-actively provide solutions to achieve best-in-market customer satisfaction.

  • Actively look for new and cross-selling opportunities within AFS Group departments.

  • Conduct market research where you will research and analyze market trends, technological advancements, potential clients, and their industry trends, to help inform business decisions.

  • Ensure brand awareness and building your network through participation in business events, fairs, and other events.


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (finance/economics/business major a plus).

  • Candidates with an existing network, and 2+ years of professional experience in finance, trading, broking or sales roles are preferred.

  • English and native-level German (prerequisite)

  • Eager, energetic, curious, and proactive by nature.

  • You are steady and not afraid to reach out to and (cold) call (potential) clients.

  • Good knowledge of financial products and the money markets.

  • Accurate, strong numerical and analytical skills.
